Keep it squishy
Simple tips and tricks to keep your Sticklez slime soft, stretchy and fun for longer.

The four golden rules
Follow these and your slime stays happy.
Lid on
Close the jar tightly every time you finish playing. Air dries slime out.
Clean hands
Wash with warm soapy water first. Dirt and oils make slime sticky.
Keep it cool
Store at room temperature, away from sun, heat and hot cars.
Little by little
Fix slime with tiny amounts at a time. You can always add more.
Melting slime is normal
Slime that goes soft, sticky or a bit runny is completely normal. It is not broken. Warm hands, a hot day, lots of play, or time in the jar can all loosen it up. Butter, clear and cloud slimes can all do it, and it is easy to fix.
Knead it
Knead it for a minute. Lots of slime firms up with a little work.
Add a little activator
Still soft? Add a few drops at a time, and knead for 30 seconds or more between each go.
Rest, then check
Rest it, then check the feel. Stop as soon as it is just right.
Too much activator makes slime stiff. Little by little wins!

It is sticky or has melted
Knead it first, because fresh or warm slime often firms up with a bit of work.
Still gooey? Add a little activator, just a few drops at a time, and knead for at least 30 seconds before adding more. Pause between additions so you do not overdo it.
It feels too warm or runny
Heat and warm hands soften slime. Pop the jar in the fridge for about 10 minutes, then try again.
It is hard or stiff
Add a tiny amount of lotion, baby oil or glycerine at a time and knead it in until it is soft and stretchy again.
Too much activator is the usual cause of stiff slime, so go slowly.
It keeps ripping
Stretch slowly. Pulling quickly makes slime tear.
If it still rips, it may be a little dry, so try a tiny bit of lotion or baby oil.
It is sticking to my hands
Wash and dry your hands, then try again.
A very small amount of lotion on your hands can help, but skip lotion with clear slime.
Tips and tricks
Little habits that make slime better.
Stretch slow
Slow stretches go further and rip less.
Fold and press
Fold your slime over and press to trap air, then listen for the pops.
Play on a tray
A clean tray or mat keeps slime tidy and away from hair, fabric and paper.
Rest it
If slime feels off, let it rest in its jar for a bit and come back to it.
Please do not
- Do not eat slime or put it in your mouth. It is a toy, not food.
- Keep it off hair, clothes, carpet, books and paper. Dried slime sticks hard, so wash spills out straight away with warm water.
- Do not mix different slimes together.
- Keep activator labelled and out of reach of children and pets. It is not for drinking.
- Younger children should play with a grown-up nearby.
